    How to Enroll

Enroll your child in Linder Learning Land!

    Access Controlled Security Door

Linder Learning Land has always ranked your child's safety and security as a top priority. Even when it opened in 1982 - long before key pad code entrances were even heard of - Linder Learning Land had one and still does.

Just in case one of our parents holds the door open for another person, each classroom teacher has a current list of all people who are allowed to pick up their students so identification can be quickly checked.

    Height-Based Motion-Activated Exit Doors

To prevent children from exiting the building unsupervised, the inside hall door is unlocked upon nearing the exit door by a motion-activated safety device. This device has a laser beam set high enough that if an adult approaches the exit door, it will unlock but if a child, who is shorter, approaches the exit door, the door will remain locked.

    Identification Required for Pick-Ups

Linder Learning Land is very careful about who picks up your child.  If a person does not have the entry code, then he or she must show their driver's license to an administrator. She will check this identification against the list of people that YOU have given us who may pick up your child. If that person is not on the list and you have not written a note in advance and given it to an administrator, you will be called. If we cannot reach you, your child will NOT be released - an alternate contact person will be called.

"I want to thank you for opening Linder Learning Land. You have created a safe and caring environment where children can be children, but have a great opportunity to socialize and learn.  You took all the worry out of preschool for me by the professional way that you run Linder.  Your efforts, Mrs. Linder, Mrs. Terri's efforts, and that of every teacher and helper at Linder are greatly appreciated by me and my whole family."   Jeannie M.

    Telephones in All Classrooms

Each classroom has a telephone. This enables a teacher to call the office (and vice-versus) if there are any questions AND parents are encouraged to call and talk to their child's teacher during the day. Also, parents are encouraged to call and let their child share their day with them. As a working parent herself, Betty Linder knows the stress of leaving your child in the early morning and the comfort that talking during the day with your child or his/her teacher brings. Also, for a long time, her husband traveled and it was wonderful if he could call during the day and talk to his children.

Open Door Policy for Parents and Approved Relatives

Parents and other approved relatives are ALWAYS welcome to visit Linder Learning Land classrooms.

    Web Cameras

For the safety of your child, Linder Learning Land has chosen NOT to install web cameras inside the school. Betty Linder's husband is in law enforcement and he, along with other law enforcement professionals, have strongly recommended not to install web cameras because the codes are easily broken by hackers and other dangerous people.

Viewing Windows for Parents and Approved Relatives

All classrooms have viewing windows so that parents and approved relatives may always enjoy observing children while participating in classroom activities.

Monthly Fire, Hurricane, and Tornado Drills

Emergency Fire, Hurricane and Tornado Drills are practiced monthly.

Safety Numbers and Parents' Number in All Classrooms

A master list of parents' phone numbers and emergency contacts is updated constantly with copies both in the office and in each classroom. This means that if a parent, being mannerly, holds the door open for an unknown person, the classroom teachers also have the ability to check identification if they do not visually know the person who is picking up.

Routine Background Checks on All Staff

Linder Learning Land assures that its staff are professional, well trained, law-abiding citizens. All Linder Learning Land staff:
